Since 1984, Gray Mercer has worked in many materials creating large sculptures, stairs, handrails, architectural elements, objects in wood, and houses. As an artist he has a vibrant imagination that communicates with the concepts of others and enjoys collaboration but can also thrive on its own. As a craftsman he can create refined work in metal fabrication and woodworking. The overall style is simple and straightforward while the materials state their essence.
